Cargo services to launch to Baghdat

Turkish Airlines has added Baghdat to its Cargo Flight Network.

Continueing to enlarge its cargo network, Turkish Airlines is launching cargo charter flights to Iraq’s capital Baghdat as of December 2008.

Having restarted services to Baghdat after 17 years, Turkish Airlines will also serve with cargo charter flights to Baghdat. With the recent adherence of its fourth A310-300 cargo aircraft, having a capacity of 36 tons each, and serving already 18 scheduled destinations, Turkish Airlines Cargo has gone a step further towards its goal of cargo fleet and cargo flight network.

Being in a quantum leap, Turkish Airlines aims to be effective in the Iraqi and Middle East market and to become a transit hub for the Iraqi cargo traffic with its cargo charter flights to Baghdat.

Turkish Airlines has currently scheduled cargo flights to Maastricht 5 flights a week, 4 flights a week to Frankfurt, 3 flights a week to Cologne, Paris, London, and TelAviv, twice a week to Almaty, New Delhi, Damascus, Amman, Zurich and Milan, once a week to Dubai, Tbilisi, Moscow, Casablanca, Madrid, and Algeria.
