Job Alternative Seminar/Webinar

WEBWIRE

Bruce Wood Seminars has launched The Job Alternative Seminar in Webinar format. The Job Alternative Seminar presents several career change options for professionals who wish to be self employed or start a business. The Webinar is free, and scheduled for Tuesday evenings. Pre-registration is required online at http://www.ChicagoJobAlternative.com

The Job Alternative Seminar is designed to provide comparative benefits of several types of new businesses and self employment choices. It is a primer on business terms, strategies, startup costs and budgets involved in franchising, network marketing business, internet business, opening a store, working from home and gaining business skills for a new professional career.

Originating in Chicago, the ninety minute seminar was created in response to the current economic slowdown and events which have changed the job and business environment for professionals in the real estate, financial, mortgage and insurance fields.

To reach beyond a regional audience, the seminar has been adapted to webinar format. Webinars are live presentations via the internet, where participants can interact with the presenter while viewing on their computers. The format has become popular for corporate meetings and educational presentations.

Webinar participants will gain insight about which new career alternative or business may be appropriate for them, based on their current financial position and their expectations for the future. Specific information about the economic viability of starting a new business venture is presented, along with an overview of how to be positioned to benefit from global economic trends.

Bruce Wood, creator of the Job Alternative Seminar, brings a multitude of entrepreneurial experiences to his insightful presentations. Over the past twenty-five years, he has owned businesses as diverse as art and music publishing, real estate renovation, infomercial marketing and photo services for advertising agencies. For seventeen years he operated a chain of retail furniture boutiques in Chicago and Michigan.

Bruce Wood was also a member of the Mid America Commodity Exchange, a registered Commodity Trading Advisor, Futures Floor Broker and Realtor.

However, Bruce Wood’s formal education was not in business. He has a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has written and directed a feature-length motion picture, The Door, and his paintings are sold internationally.

After graduation, he quickly found that to make a living he needed to be resourceful. “All that education, and no marketable skills!” he says, reflecting on his decision to enter the business world. “I started so many business, and learned from my failures and successes. Now I want to help guide new entrepreneurs through the process of starting out on their own.”
