Telstra Enterprise & Government crowned for top customer service

Telstra Enterprise & Government’s Customer Care team has taken out the Customer Service Institute of Australia’s prestigious Australian Service Excellence Award, again proving that good service makes the world of difference.

The win follows another recent win by the Customer Service Team who became the largest division of a major telecommunications carrier to receive the International Customer Service Standard (ICSS) certification.

Telstra Enterprise & Government Group Managing Director, Mr David Thodey, said receiving the ICSS certification and winning the Australian Service Excellence Award was further proof that Telstra and its people are changing the game’, and once again demonstrating that great service really is the difference.

“This award is recognition that Telstra is transforming its customer service approach to make it an even stronger competitive advantage in the marketplace,” Mr Thodey said.

“We are passionate about putting customers at the centre of everything we do and we are developing the capability and processes to keep delivering on that vision.”

The Director of the Customer Service Industry of Australia, Mr Brett Whitford, congratulated Telstra on the win.

“This award reflects the tremendous effort made by TE&G Customer Care and the inspirational leadership provided by David Thodey and his team,” Mr Whitford said.

“This honour could not be made possible without the ongoing efforts and passion for great customer service that is displayed constantly by the Customer Care staff.”
The awards are judged against the criteria of the International Customer Service Standard (ICSS) which has been developed as a global benchmark of service excellence. The key criterion is a passion for service excellence and the processes and capability to deliver it.
