Another handset exclusive: Telstra adds Samsung F480T to Next G™ range

Telstra today announced the addition of the full touch-screen Samsung F480T to its Next G™ mobilehandset range.

Ross Fielding, Executive Director, Telstra Product Management said the handset was available exclusively to Telstra customers until 31 December 2008 and offers a great mobile media, photographic and web browsing experience powered by an innovative touch screen user interface.

“The Samsung F480T features the latest in touch control technology including haptic (vibration) feedback and the capability to select icons from a scrolling homepage menu and pull them across the screen for instant access to associated sub menus,” Mr Fielding said.

“People have been personalising their phones for years using wallpapers and ringtones. Now the Samsung F480T allows you to personalise how you access your favourite functions from the mobile home screen. You can access features like Mobile FOXTEL from Telstra channels and music player with one-click, one-touch simplicity.”

Samsung F480T’s brushed aluminium body, bundled premium leather case and vivid 2.8 inch LCD screen give this handset a premium look. The handset’s credit-card sized fascia and slim 12mm depth add to the appeal.

It’s no slouch in the features department either. The Samsung F480T boasts a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus, image stabilizer, and face-detection capabilities. The handset’s outstanding ability to capture quality pictures in a variety of environments means you can leave your standalone camera at home.

Web browsing is powered by the Next G™ network’s superior 3G coverage and mobile broadband speeds. The device is rated at 7.2Mbps* allowing super fast downloads when teamed with Telstra’s Next G™ network - the largest and fastest 3GSM network in Australia.

“The mobile data experience on this phone is fast. Users can pull down large files, stream content, surf the web seamlessly or upload data like email faster in more places,” Mr Fielding said.
