2006-01-12 -- [WDC Newswire] -- Five TBN Christian Networks to be Carried on All-Digital, Low-Cost Wireless TV Alternative to Cable

Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) announced it will distribute its five digital Christian networks in the Dallas/Fort Worth area through U.S. Digital Television (USDTV). USDTV is a new low-cost alternative to cable that enables subscribers to receive all of TBN’s channels “over the air” through a standard VHF/UHF antenna connected to a digital USDTV set-top box.

“We are pleased to enable Dallas/Fort Worth subscribers to receive all of TBN’s channels, along with our family-friendly package of leading cable networks and local channels,” said Steve Lindsley, Chief Executive Officer of USDTV. “Our channel lineup is designed for value-oriented families who are tired of paying for channels they never watch and don’t want coming into their homes.”

The five TBN channels USDTV will feature in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex are:

TBN Flagship Network, America’s most watched faith channel. TBN offers 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming that appeals to people in a wide variety of Protestant, Catholic, and Messianic Jewish denominations. Programming includes gospel music concerts, informative talk shows, contemporary music videos, positive and fun-filled programs for children, health and fitness shows, news and information, and uplifting worship services from American’s premier churches.

JCTV, a new digital network geared for teens and young adults. JCTV features round-the-clock cutting edge Christian music videos, reality and game shows, relevant talk programs, comedy, extreme sports, and much more.

TBN Enlace USA, America’s premier Spanish language faith network. TBN Enlace brings viewers the best inspirational programs from Latin America and the most popular programs from TBN all in Spanish -- 24 hours a day.

The Church Channel, the only network featuring America’s most popular church services from a wide variety of Protestant and Catholic congregations – broadcast 24 hours a day. The Church Channel brings many of America’s most well-known and respected pastors and church leaders right into the homes of viewers at more convenient times throughout the week.

Smile of a Child TV, TBN’s latest network addition. Smile of a Child TV features 24-hour faith-based programming that parents can trust for their children.

Bob Higley, TBN’s Vice President of Cable and Satellite Relations, noted that USDTV is offering eight faith channels to subscribers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. “TBN is proud to provide five of those channels,” said Higley. “Today, more families are concerned about what their children watch on TV. The USDTV programming is a very family- friendly package of television networks. We’re pleased that USDTV has placed such a priority on the family television viewing experience.”
