Atos Origin wins 2008 Sesames Award for its innovative solution « Fast booking on ATM »

Cartes 2008 Trade Show / Paris - Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin Company, has won the 2008 Sesames Award for Best e-transactions Application for its innovative “Fast Booking on ATM” solution. This innovation allows users to book and purchase event tickets on an ATM and also gives banks a quick and simple way to turn their ATMs into a key sales channel.


Organized as part of the Cartes and Identification 2008 trade show, the Sesames Awards are the world reference for smartcard manufacturers and an undisputed label of innovation. On Monday 3 November, ten innovative solutions received Sesames Awards during the ceremony organized at the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris.

The 2008 Sesames Awards recognized Atos Worldline’s “Fast Booking on ATM” as the year’s best application in the e-transactions category. Developed using Web 2.0 technologies, “Fast Booking on ATM” makes it possible for users to book and purchase event tickets on an ATM. In just minutes, customers can select and pay for tickets and print a receipt with all the necessary information.


Atos Worldline’s solution also gives banks a way to develop their ATM base, which was primarily designed for banking transactions, and provides ticket bookers with a new distribution tool that makes their services even more accessible. Lastly, users benefit from the convenience of 24/7 availability.

Winning this Award for the second consecutive year highlights the expertise of Atos Worldline’s teams in developing innovative solutions and demonstrates the Company’s commitment to continuous innovation.
