Leading Telecom Finance Experts Gather In London After Record US$100B Year

London, 11th January 2006 – Leaders and experts in telecoms, media and technology finance will meet in London January 26-27 following a bumper year recording more than US$100b in deals.

The inaugural annual forum sponsored by Linklaters, Allen & Overy and Milbank Tweed, will focus on the opportunities for 2006, and provide the latest information and insight from more than 35 speakers.

More than 40% of attendees are ceo’s and cfo’s with representation from finance and investment companies, telecommunication service provider companies, law firms and other companies engaged in the sector from Europe, the US, Middle East and Asia.

Topics to be discussed will include household telecom names in the region who are considered to have the potential for private equity led investment.

“Further LBOs can be expected, debt is cheap, and residual private equity funds are abundant at this time, and have the capacity to stretch multiples further if necessary” commented Dominic Lowndes, editor of Telecom Finance magazine, the event co-producers.
