Plixer International Offers Flow Analytics Add-On for Scrutinizer NetFlow and sFlow Analyzer

Sanford, ME – October 15, 2008 – Developer of the Scrutinizer NetFlow and sFlow Analyzer, Plixer International, Inc., offers businesses detailed network traffic information with Scrutinizer’s Flow Analytics with Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) add-on. Flow Analytics is a supplement to existing intrusion detection systems (IDS), offering an overview of potential internal threats, with highlights updated every five minutes through a Web dashboard.

Flow Analytics collects NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, and NetStream from existing routers and switches with very little initial configuration. By monitoring traffic across routers and switches to gather data on conversation patterns rather than individual packets, the NBA capability makes it possible to identify anomalies – traffic patterns that shouldn’t be occurring and which may signify threats to the network.
