Blanketing portions of Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Paul Crouch Jr., Vice President of Administration for Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) has confirmed that TBN’s newest acquisition, WGTV-DT, a full-power digital television station, signed on the air January 4th. WGTV-DT, which blankets portions of Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, multicasts all five of TBN’s signature networks digitally on Channel 27.

“The full-power signal of WGTV-DT offers TBN viewers the opportunity to benefit from all five of our unique networks,” explained Crouch. “Viewers can now watch our flagship TBN network, as well as JCTV, the Church Channel, TBN Enlace USA, and our newest network, “Smile of a Child TV, which will appeal to our younger viewers.”

Crouch said that for viewers seeking a faith-based, family friendly television experience, TBN has created a network of channels that will appeals to young and old alike. “Our flagship TBN network continues to offer the broad range of inspirational and religious programming viewers have enjoyed for many years,” he said. “In addition, we’re bringing them four more 24-hour inspirational networks.”

The four dynamic faith-based networks are:

-- JCTV, the fully digital network geared for teens and young adults. JCTV features round-the-clock cutting edge Christian music videos, reality and game shows, relevant talk programs, comedy, extreme sports, and much more.

-- The Church Channel, the only network featuring America’s most popular church services from a wide variety of Protestant and Catholic congregations – broadcast 24 hours a day.

-- TBN’s Enlace USA, America’s premier Spanish language faith network. TBN Enlace offers viewers the best inspirational programs from Latin America and the most popular programs from TBN all in Spanish -- 24 hours a day.

-- Smile of a Child TV, TBN’s latest network addition. Smile of a Child TV features 24-hour faith-based programming that parents can trust for their children.

“With the launch of Smile of a Child TV, the TBN family of networks now reaches every age category within the faith genre,” said Bob Higley, TBN’s Vice President of Cable and Satellite Relations. “It will be the cable industry’s only faith based network reaching across the board demographics.”

WGTW-DT operates with an effective radiated power of 160,000 watts from 1,082 feet atop it’s tower near downtown Philadelphia.

Currently, television viewers can watch digital television through the use of a digital converter box. Digital TV information is encoded differently than an analog television signal and requires a different kind of receiver. For the full benefits of digital television viewers will need new digital television sets.
