NFL 2008 Season Weekly Picks, Previews and Predictions : Week 4
Buffalo Bills 3-0 Ravens 2-0 Titans 2-0 Broncos 3-0
I did not have these 4 teams on my list of undefeated after 3 weeks...Did you?
See what I think about Week 4 below.
Early Games
Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are the better football team. The Falcons will continue to win against bad teams and lose to good ones as they rebuild. Look for a heavy dose of Julius Peppers up in Matt Ryan’s backfield all day long.
Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals took the defending champs to overtime%u2026and amazingly lost. The Bengals may have shown some signs of life, but they are still the Bengals. The big question is, when Cleveland gets down will Brady Quinn be able to bring them back? Yes. It’s the Bengals.
Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags finally showed up against the broke-ass Colts. Can they do it two weeks in a row? Sure, it’s against Houston. The only hope the Texans have is to have Mario Williams get past that torn up o-line and make plays in the backfield. That won’t happen. Jags take it.

Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs
The Broncos are the luckiest sumbitches in the league so far. Of course, playing the Chiefs is kind of like getting lucky at Miss Kitty’s brothel. It’s not really about luck, more about just showing up.
San Francisco 49ers vs. New Orleans Saints
The Saints are having a tough season so far. Has Jeremy Shockey been dropped from EVERYBODY’S fantasy leagues? For a guy who was supposed to be a focal point of an explosive offense they should ask the Giants for a draft pick back. Hopefully the rest of them can use this game against the 49ers as a way to get the ship righted. Saints should take this game at home.
Arizona Cardinals vs. New York Jets
The Jets have some good young corners, but not that good. The Cardinals beat up on some teams and then lost a tight one against the Redskins. The Jets won’t be able to stop the tandem of Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. Look for Kurt Warner to have a big game throwing the ball to his top flight WRs.

Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs are riding an emotional high and the Packers are riding a low. Al Harris’ injury will slow the Packers’ secondary down, but they should be able to execute well enough to win the game.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Tennessee Titans
The Titans have the third best YPG defense so far this season. The one-dimensional Vikings will have to come up with some big plays in order to pull this game out. Gus Frerotte probably doesn’t have the gas left in the tank that will be needed to properly manage this game.

2008 NFL Football Season Preview: Week 4
Late Games and MNF
San Diego Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders
The Chargers have started to look better each week and Oakland continues to look just plain bad. How does a team this badly run even make it to the stadium on time? Honestly, if anyone has any information on the management of the Oakland Raiders please call the number on the back of the milk carton. Because they’ve been missing for years.
Buffalo Bills vs. St. Louis Rams
The greatest show on turf is over. It was a good dog, but it’s time to say goodbye. The last couple of years the spark wasn’t there, he didn’t jump as high or run quite as fast%u2026 but we’ll always have the NFL film footage. It’s time to blow this up and rebuild this team from the ground up. Trade everything of value for draft picks NOW. Marc Bulger to Minnesota, Torry Holt to Carolina, Steven Jackson to the Saints%u2026 the fire sale is on.

Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys and the Giants are the teams in the NFC to beat. The Redskins might be able to hang around with them for a quarter or two, but eventually the Cowboys will pull away in this NFC East matchup.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears
The Bears gave away the game last weekend. That will stay with you for a while. The Eagles, on the other hand, beat a very tough Pittsburgh team. The Eagles have looked good even when they’ve lost this year, and this week Kyle Orton will be having nightmares about defensive coordinator Jim Johnson and his exotic blitzes.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Ravens’ defense looks like it’s back. The Steelers’ defense hasn’t gone anywhere, so look for this game to go down to the wire. This is going to be a good old-fashioned grind-it-out football game. Two very good running teams (even without Willie Parker) who are also two of the best in the league at stuffing the run. Big Ben is going to have to make a play with his arm to win this game in the fourth quarter.
