Lycoming Engines Receives National Safety Council Award

Occupational Excellence Achievement Award Presented at Annual Meeting

Williamsport, PA . - At its 2008 Congress and Expo in Anaheim, CA, the National Safety Council will present its Occupational Excellence Achievement Award to Lycoming Engines, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company. The award recognizes companies that, based on U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics ratings, have outstanding safety records compared to similar organizations. As a winner of this award, Lycoming is acknowledged as a leader, setting an example in safety performance.
