Carl Stahl Nordgreif GmbH receives contract for supply of new slab tongs from ERENCO for Isdemir, Turkey

Schenefeld, 04.01.2006. Carl Stahl Nordgreif GmbH has received a contract for supplying new slab tongs for the new casting line project of Isdemir, Turkey. The 10 tongs, have a capacity between 45t and 60t each, shall handle the maximum of 2.500.000 t/a slabs of the new casting line. The start-up of this new process is scheduled for April 2006.

Isdemir, subsidiary of Erdemir, manufactures billets and is located at the Mediterranean Sea, close to the Syrian boarder.

In course of a major modernization program (150 Mio.Euro Investment)currently underway at Isdemir, Carl Stahl Nordgreif received a contract for the supply of mechanical and electrical driven slab tongs. The scope of supply includes the delivery and commissioning of the tongs.
