New Female Friendly Gaming Website Launched
A recently launched website is aiming to bring more relevant content to female gamers. Mandarin Duck’s Games For Girls (www.mandarinduck.co.uk) is aimed at females aged 25+ who are interested in news, reviews and previews of PC and Nintendo games. The site has been launched by a 28 year old female gamer who, tired of reading ’lad mag’ style content, decided to set up a new website for the girls. As well as news and reviews, there is a regular blog linking gaming, technology and general news. The site owner describes it as ’sharp and snappy with plenty of honesty’. The site aims to dispel myths that female gamers are bad at gaming or can only play certain types of games and promote the fact that female gamers form an ever more significant part of the gaming market.
