Methodist, Astros celebrate women’s health awareness with pink jerseys

The Houston Astros will see pink when they take on the Chicago Cubs Sept. 14 to celebrate Women’s Health Awareness Day at Minute Maid Park.

The first 10,000 adults who attend the 1:05 pm game will receive a pink Astros jersey, courtesy of The Methodist Hospital System.

Dr. Eric Haufrect, Ob/Gyn at The Methodist Hospital, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to Cara Berkman, wife of first baseman Lance Berkman. Haufrect has delivered more than 30 babies for the wives of current and former Astros players.
