General Dynamics Awarded $47 Million for MRAP Vehicle Support

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded contracts worth $47 million by Force Protection Inc. to provide supplies and support for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle program.

Work under these contracts will be performed in Anniston and Oxford, Ala.; Charlotte, Mich.; Ladson, S.C.; Lima, Ohio; Kings Point, N.C.; and Sealy, Texas.

Force Protection (NASDAQ: FRPT) and General Dynamics participate in a joint venture to share MRAP production and program management under contracts with the Marines.
