Information on rebates and financing will be presented for energy efficient equipment

Interstate Power and Light Company (IPL), an Alliant Energy company, is holding an upcoming meeting in Ottumwa to update business customers on energy efficiency program offerings and incentives. Previous meetings were held in Cedar Rapids and Mason City, and an additional meeting is planned for Ames this fall.

“Businesses that are replacing equipment or building a new facility are eligible for a variety of rebates or financial options that help save both money and energy,” said Gilbert Nunez-Product Manager, Alliant Energy. “In fact, when a business chooses energy efficient equipment, they may have no up-front costs at all. Their project can be paid for through guaranteed energy savings with Performance Contracting.”

IPL business customers are invited to attend one of the following meetings to be held from 10 a.m. to noon:

* September 10, 2008 – Ottumwa Bridgeview Center, 102 Church St, Ottumwa
* October 22, 2008 – Ames Holiday Inn, 2609 University Blvd, Ames

Each meeting will include information on various program offerings including financial incentives and technical assistance, as well as the process to follow when participating in energy-efficiency programs. Program staff will be on hand to answer questions.
