Respected Insurance and Claims Industry veteran to Lead Company’s Growing Efforts in the Space

HARTFORD, Conn - CT TyMetrix, the premier provider of Web-based legal management solutions for corporate law departments and claims organizations, today announced the appointment of Faiz Ahmed as vice president, insurance. Ahmed joins CT TyMetrix--part of CT, a Wolters Kluwer business--in this newly-created role.

While CT TyMetrix already offers solutions to the insurance and claims market, Ahmed’s primary responsibility will be to lead the company’s growing efforts in the space.

“There’s tremendous opportunity for CT Tymetrix to provide value to the insurance and claims market,” said Ahmed. “CT TyMetrix has a solid platform and an amazing team. I look forward to leveraging its solutions to help insurance and claims professionals better partner with their law firms, reduce costs and improve case outcomes.”

Prior to joining CT TyMetrix, Ahmed was a senior member of Navigant Consulting’s insurance and claims practice area. In this role, he directed projects and the firm’s initiatives related to claims process improvement, claims technology review, and litigation management. In addition, he was a featured speaker at two Mealey’s Conferences on the topics of litigation management and insurance claims technology.

“It’s a testament to CT TyMetrix and the strength of the company that an industry expert like Faiz has agreed to join our team,” said John Weber, general manager of CT TyMetrix. “We look forward to leveraging his experiences for our clients.”

In addition to serving the insurance market as a consultant, Ahmed has worked extensively within the insurance and litigation management industry itself. In 1999, he co-founded VisiBillity, Inc., which developed the insurance industry’s first collaborative claims litigation management solution. In 2005, he sold VisiBillity to Bottomline Technologies. Prior to VisiBillity, Ahmed was a claims officer at GE Employers Reinsurance and an attorney at the premier insurance defense firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson. Ahmed has published articles in the insurance industry’s top publications, including Business Insurance, Claims Magazine, Claims Report, CPCU National Newsletter, National Underwriter, Property & Casualty Magazine, Risk & Insurance and The Self-Insurer.

Ahmed has a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from Trinity University, San Antonio, TX; his juris doctor degree from Tulane University; and his master’s in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
