Kiwi Publishing to Announce Winner of Thin Threads® Inspirational Story Contest

(Woodbridge, CT) The stories are in, the finalists selected, and on September 15th Kiwi Publishing will announce at www.Kiwipublishing.com the winner of their Thin Threads® story contest. For the last 16 months this established publishing house has been collecting inspiring stories and working with authors from around the country to find just the right ingredients for this first edition of the Thin Threads® story collection.

Thin Threads® is a collection of compelling stories about life-changing moments, tales of those moments that made all the difference, where a decision hangs in the balance and we are just holding on by a ‘thin thread’. These are the moments that change the course of a life and are not always recognized in the instance of their happening.

“We are all surrounded by the simple yet miraculous stories that shape our lives. Thin Threads stories will inspire readers to capture these moments, enabling us, as readers, to realize our own opportunities when we live in the moment…in the present, and become more aware of shaping our own destiny!” says Stacey Battat, President of Kiwi Publishing and its Director of Inspiration.

The Grand Prize Winner for Best Story will receive a $500 cash prize and a matching $500 award will go to the author’s favorite charity. Many more stories will be chosen from the current pool of finalists to be included in the first edition of Kiwi’s Thin Threads® collection and the authors will receive a $100 cash award for every submission chosen for inclusion.

Over 1000 entries have been submitted and the field has since been narrowed to a quality group of 100 stories. The final decision for Best Story Winner and the submissions to be included in the upcoming Thin Threads collection will be made by the end of August with the formal announcement via the website coming on September 15th. Kiwi’s first printing of the Thin Threads® collection can be expected in the fall of 2008.

KIWI Publishing is currently developing another contest for the following new editions of Thin Threads®: Romance, Business and Career, as well as Survival and Recovery. Authors with compelling tales in these areas are encouraged to review the story guidelines and send submissions via the website at http://www.kiwipublishing.com/content/Thin-Threads.html.
