Bohle Mirror Systems Increase Range to Include Forklift Mirrors

Manchester, UK, July 17th, 2008 - Bohle Mirror Systems, a Manchester based company trading in convex mirrors to business and retail customers, has increased it’s range of safety products to include forklift mirrors.

The company has built a reputation for trading in high quality, durable mirrors for use in factories, offices, shops, or anywhere else that improved safety or security is required. Convex mirrors provide a wider angle reflection than regular, flat mirrors, allowing the viewer to see more in the mirror. With their new forklift mirrors, Bohle Mirror Systems have adapated this technology specifically to fit forklift trucks.

Around 8000 forklift related injuries are reported to the Health and Safety Executive each year, around 20 of which are fatal. Causes of forklift accidents in the workplace include overturning forklifts and falling merchendise, but collisions with pedestrains are the most common. In many cases the pedestrian is caught in the forklift driver’s blind spot, and simply does not hear the forklift coming. Work related accidents can have dire cosequences for both employer and employee, so it is in everyone’s interest to maintain optimum safety conditions in the workplace at all times.

Bohle Mirror System’s new forklift mirrors can be installed in addition to a forklift’s standard rear view mirror, helping to eliminate the driver’s blind spots during operation. This extra visibility can help to significantly reduce forklift collisions and accidents in the workplace, improving piece of mind for drivers and pedestrians.
