ANN ARBOR, Mich.- Borders® and Advice for Living Inc. are excited to announce that “Make It Happen” – a nationally syndicated radio program hosted by respected life coach and CNBC regular Mel Robbins – will now be broadcast live each week day from 1-3 p.m. Eastern from a new radio booth inside the Borders store at Boston’s Downtown Crossing beginning today. The program is currently syndicated in 40 markets across the country, and streams live daily on www.Borders.com.

“Make It Happen” is a no-nonsense call-in advice and interview show that helps change the lives of callers through honest and entertaining coaching, storytelling, and problem solving. On the show, Robbins teams with on-air partner Hank Norman to take phone calls and e-mails from listeners and offer down-to-earth advice and workable solutions to real life dilemmas and conflicts in their personal and professional lives.

In addition, Robbins’ collaboration with Borders for “Make It Happen” allows authors and musicians access to a national radio audience while on their promotional tours at Borders as Robbins will also interview these guests, giving the audience a unique takeaway as she delves into the personal stories of success that inspired the careers of authors, musicians and celebrities. In fact, on the first day of the show’s broadcast from Borders July 8, Robbins will talk with acclaimed author Dennis Lehane. Lehane, who wrote “Mystic River” and “Gone Baby Gone,” among several other bestselling books, will be at Borders in Boston shooting an exclusive interview for the bookseller regarding his upcoming fall title “The Given Day.” Also appearing with Robbins will be D.G. Fulford author of “Designated Daughter: The Bonus Years with Mom.” The video will be available later on www.bordersmedia.com , but Lehane and Fulford will be live in the “Make It Happen” radio booth with Robbins that day for an inaugural “Make It Happen” interview from Borders.

“We are thrilled to have this relationship with Mel Robbins and Advice for Living,” said Borders Group Executive Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing Rob Gruen. “Our Downtown Crossing store is a daily hub of activity in Boston and a fantastic event location for our Boston customers. Adding the radio booth to this store will bring another vibrant dimension to this wonderful destination, while the radio program provides another compelling reason to visit our new Borders.com site every day.”

Host Mel Robbins commented, “Broadcasting the radio show live from Borders packs a unique and powerful punch. People tune into this show daily for the dramatic human stories and the no-nonsense advice detailing how to change your life. Borders is the perfect backdrop for weaving authors, celebrities and musicians into this broad and entertaining conversation about how each one of us can go from feeling stuck to living out our dreams.”

In addition to “Make It Happen,” Robbins also hosts the interview and life advice program, “Advice for Living,” for Borders at http://www.bordersmedia.com/adviceforliving. As part of her Borders program, Robbins has interviewed many celebrities including Donald Trump, Barbara Walters, Bill Cosby, and Mandy Moore.
