Broadcast Asia, Singapore, Magna Booth 7D2-01 - June 2008: Chyron (AMEX: CGS) has today announced a major installation at Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore. The installation includes seven Chyron Graphics workstations including the LEX2, which includes Lyric PRO, Chyron’s advanced creation and playout application, and off-line workstations. The new Chyron equipment will form part of the online and offline systems installed in MediaBiz Studios of Communications and Media Management Dipolma at Temasek Polytechnic. The systems were supplied and installed by Chyron’s Asia partner, Magna Systems and Engineering.

Chyron’s LEX2 can be configured with up to two channels, two optional Clip Players, and Chyron’s Lyric PRO advanced creation and playout application. The LEX2 features seamless creation to playout, real-time 2D/3D animation and a host of hardware and software features, including 2D and 3D object import, Advanced Text and Image Effects, Intelligent Interface® and DB Link update, and macro creation/execution and an HD/SD high quality 3D DVE.

Richard Green, Head of Magna Systems’ new software systems division said, “We won the tender after much careful consideration by Temasek Polytechnic and a strict public tender process.”

The comprehensive tender was placed on GeBiz website, the Singapore government’s one-stop e-procurement portal and had to be fully completed and submitted online with significant detail of how the CGs matched Temasek’s unique educational requirements.

Green continued, “The Chyron LEX2 and Lyric PRO solution was selected as it proved to have the most complete set of software features. The Temasek Polytechnic team particularly liked the software functionality of the LEX2 and the high-quality of the system.”

Chyron’s broadcast-quality HD/SD, 2D/3D graphics solutions, used daily by broadcasters in over 40 countries, will be demonstrated on the Magna Systems and Engineering stand 7D2-01 at Broadcast Asia 2008.
