Starbucks Brings Paris to Taiwan with Launch of Starbucks Discoveries® Paris Chilled Cup Coffee

Starbucks launches a new ready-to-drink Café au Lait beverage

Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ: SBUX) launched today in Taiwan Starbucks Discoveries® Paris (Café au Lait) coffee drink, a new, no-sugar-added offering in the Starbucks Discoveries® chilled cup series. The new ready-to-drink Starbucks Discoveries® Paris (Café au Lait) chilled cup coffee is the first of its kind in the Taiwan market. Starbucks Discoveries® Paris (Café au Lait) blends the flavors of Starbucks® Espresso Roast coffee and milk to create an authentic Starbucks Experience that can be enjoyed anywhere and anytime.

“Starbucks Discoveries® Paris (Café au Lait) chilled cup coffee was developed specifically for the consumer taste preferences in the Taiwan market,” says Rich DePencier, vice president, Global Consumer Products International. “In addition to using the same high-quality coffee that is found in all our Starbucks retail stores, Discoveries® Paris (Café au Lait) coffee drink has no sugar added and is perfect for coffee lovers who prefer a less-sweet taste.”

Similar to Starbucks Discoveries® Seattle (Latte), Milano (Espresso), and Qandi® (Caramel) chilled cup coffees, Starbucks Discoveries® Paris (Café au Lait) chilled cup coffee contains only the highest quality arabica coffee beans. Also in line with the other Starbucks Discoveries® chilled cup coffees, Discoveries® Paris (Café au Lait) chilled cup coffee packaging provides a window into the city’s life and features a cityscape of Paris. Additionally, a signature green straw comes with the product for easy and enjoyable sipping.

The first of these sampling events will be on May 31 at Shinkong Mitsukoshi Deptartment Store. Customers will receive samples of the new beverage and discover Paris in Taiwan. They will also have the chance to participate in a Parisian art activity and win prizes.
