Ernesto Rojas to Present "Electronic Evidence Identification & Preservation" at LEAPS’ Next Meeting

Ernesto Rojas, CEO of Forensic & Security Services Inc, will be speaking about electronic evidence identification and preservation at LEAPS’ next Houston chapter meeting, May 29, 2008. In this presentation, Mr. Rojas will speak of the many different devices on which electronic evidence is found, the growth of electronic evidence, how to preserve and protect the evidence, and best practices for collecting electronic evidence.

Mr. Rojas is a frequent speaker to legal, business, investigative, and technical groups on the subjects of computer forensics, electronic discovery, and FRCP compliance. He is a Texas licensed private security consultant with 10 years experience in computer forensics and litigation support. The American College of Forensic Examiners awarded him fellowship status in 2007. His experience working with the Sedona Conference’s International Working Group on E-Disclosure and Information Management keeps him up to date on the latest rules regarding civil procedure. Mr. Rojas’ 25+ years experience in information technology and information security provided a sound basis for his progression into the field of computer forensics and has made him a leading expert in the field.

LEAPS, the Law Enforcement and Private Security Association, is an organization which advocates new ideas from its membership and stimulates change in the law enforcement community. The organization’s mission is to promote the concept of crime prevention and to encourage communication and joint cooperation between law enforcement agencies, corporate security, and private security organizations. The Houston chapter meets the last Thursday of every other month at the South Central HPD station, located at 2202 St. Emanuel, Houston, TX 77004.
