Announces 18% growth for Benelux operations

BT today announced the appointment of Bas Burger (37) as Chief Executive Officer, BT Benelux. Bas will take up his new position in June reporting to Luis Alvarez, President EMEA & Latin America. He succeeds Michel De Coster, who leaves BT on June 1st 2008. Bas Burger has a wealth of experience in the ICT sector and joins BT from Getronics N.V., where he, as Executive Vice President and part of the Management Committee, was responsible for Global Sales, Channel and Partner management, plus international Business Support and Development.

BT today also announced that its Benelux operation generated EUR 710.8 million revenue over the year ending March 31st, 2008, showing year on year growth of +18%. The Benelux operation is EBIT and cash flow positive.

Prior to Getronics N.V., since 2002, Bas Burger was CEO and Managing Director of KPN Entercom Solutions B.V. He started his career at KPN in 1994 (at the time PTT Telecom), after which he held various sales and senior management positions within the company.
