The author of ”King of Bombs,” a controversial novel about nuclear terrorism, Sheldon Filger, displayed another aspect of his creativity, by unveiling a new website, featuring his original fine art photographs of nude women. The website, www.FinestArt-Photography.com, looks vastly different from the many websites with nude images that proliferate the Internet. The website has the feel of an aristocratic art gallery, with images of the nude female form having a clearly defined look of stylish fine art. “It was my goal to present the female figure in a way that was uplifting and tasteful, in contrast to the many pornographic sites on the Internet that are degrading in their portrayal of the female body,” Filger said.

Sheldon Filger took up photography of the female figure in the aftermath of 9/11, while living in New York City. “The attack on the World Trade Center was a singularly ugly manifestation,” Filger explained. “My response to the ugliness of 9/11 was to immerse myself in beauty, by creating photographic art inspired by the unique beauty of the bodies of women,” he added. The galleries on Mr. Filger’s website feature more than 100 of his fine art photographs of nude women. Many of the photographs have the look of paintings, and show the artist’s interpretation of the female figure in a manner conveying deep reverence. Several of the women who have been modeling for Filger have included testimonials on the website, reflecting their experiences in posing for the novelist’s online galleries. One woman commented that after seeing the images Mr. Filger created of her, “I saw myself in a new, empowered fashion.”

Substituting his cameras for his word processor, Sheldon Filger has found another way of presenting his creativity. “The nude body of women pulsates with creative energy and spiritual beauty,” Filger said. “By making my photographic art work available over the Internet, I hope many others will come to share my reverence for the most glorious gift of creation, the bodies of women.”
