The Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 scanner is a double-sided color scanner that scans at speeds of up to 18 pages per minute (ppm) for single-sided documents and 36 images per minute (ipm) for double-sided documents. The new ScanSnap scanning solution comes bundled with ABBYY FineReader® for the ScanSnap scanner, a custom-built Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software application based on ABBYY’s award-winning recognition technology. The ABBYY FineReader software for the ScanSnap scanner enables users to convert documents into editable formats such as Microsoft Word, Excel® and PowerPoint®, or save into one of three searchable Portable Document File (PDF) options, all with a push of a button.

The first mobile scanner from Fujitsu, the ScanSnap S300, offers the fastest “one-touch” conversion of paper documents into searchable Adobe® portable document format (PDF) files available today in the mobile scanning industry. Users simply load a stack of up to 10 documents into the ADF and press the “SCAN” button to produce searchable PDF files at speeds of up to 8 pages per minute (ppm) for single-sided documents and 16 images per minute (ipm) for double-sided documents. The ScanSnap S300 scanner can also be powered from a USB connection (USB 2.0/USB 1.1) on any PC, enabling efficiencies while on the road to scan paper documents, receipts, bills, invoices and business cards without requiring an AC power connection.
