Inco Limited announces participation in a conference and a meeting with representatives of the investment community on December 8 and 12, 2005

Toronto, December 5, 2005 -- Inco Limited (“Inco”) announced today that it will be participating in a conference and a meeting with representatives of the investment community on December 8 and December 12, 2005, respectively. Copies of the remarks and slides to be used as part of the presentations to be made at the conference and meeting will be posted on Inco’s website by the start of the presentation, taking into account when a presentation is scheduled to be made, as noted under the heading “To Access Slides and Text of Presentations” below.

Scott M. Hand, Inco’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will be making a presentation on Inco’s plans and strategies at the Bear Stearns Commodities and Capital Goods Conference scheduled to be held in New York City over the December 7 - 8, 2005 period. Mr. Hand is expected to speak beginning at approximately 9:10 a.m. (New York time) on December 8, 2005. This presentation will be webcast on a live, listen-only basis through a third party webcasting service. Persons can access the live webcast of Inco’s presentation at the conference noted above through the “Latest Presentations” link on Inco’s website, www.inco.com, referring to the particular conference heading on our website. Persons will then be linked to the third party website. The archival webcast of the presentation will be available through the link to our website indicated for a period of at least 30 days beginning approximately one hour after the end of the live webcast.

Scott M. Hand and Peter Goudie, Inco’s Executive Vice-President, Marketing, will be making presentations on Inco’s plans and strategies and the nickel market to the Mining Research Analysts Group in Toronto on December 12, 2005. The presentations are expected to begin at 12:30 p.m. (Toronto time) that day. These presentations will not be webcast.
