Rochester, NY.- With the high volume of forms and documents circulated at federal and state agencies, government users require effective means for managing the flow of information. At FOSE 2008 in Washington, D.C., Kodak and KYOS Systems Inc. announced the availability of KYOS TransFORM™ Software on KODAK Scanners. The KYOS booth (#615) features a demonstration of the software connected to a KODAK i40 Scanner.

KYOS TransFORM Software is designed for a wide variety of industries, from government and healthcare to service bureau agencies. All applications are designed to provide enhanced organization of information, secure access, and decreased IT costs. The software delivers a document recognition system that automatically converts structured and unstructured paper, electronic, PDF or handwritten forms into a fully searchable database.

“KYOS worked with Kodak to develop a capture system that combines our technologies and creates a powerful document management solution for users with sophisticated information needs,” said Kevin Pang, President and CEO, KYOS Systems Inc. “Our high performance recognition engine and Kodak’s high speed, high quality scanning make an excellent match to help businesses run more efficiently by providing them with functionality and performance for automatic and complete capture.”

This application, managed through an intuitive web based interface, increases the amount of information that is readily available for government users who need to improve productivity and make critical decisions quickly and effectively. The security feature lets administrators set access levels by individual fields or full documents, so sensitive information is protected without limiting access to everything else.

Decreased operational costs are an added value for customers using KODAK Scanners powered with KYOS TransFORM Software. Users are allowed an unlimited number of data fields from scanned documents and forms, thus eliminating expensive processing fees normally associated with data field limitations. The software’s web based interface requires no training, so users can immediately benefit from a powerful capture and information tool.

“Kodak’s work with KYOS offers customers a comprehensive capture solution that meets the demands of total information management, from the added cost value to total workflow optimization,” said Kevin Diday, Business Development Manager, ISV Eastern Region, Kodak’s Graphics Communications Group. “With the capture quality and accuracy that KODAK Scanners deliver, customers have a quality scanned image that makes it easy to take advantage of KYOS TransFORM Software’s intelligent recognition features.”
