Cardmembers Also Support Children of St. Jude When Making Purchases With Their Credit Card; St. Jude Platinum Visa Card Celebrates First Anniversary Of Full One Percent Rebate

WILMINGTON, Del. – Nov. 29, 2005 – Today, Chase [NYSE: JPM] announced its commitment to helping children in need by donating $1 million to the second-annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving program. In addition, with each credit card purchase made on a St. Jude Platinum Visa® card, a full one percent is given back to St. Jude, providing cardmembers the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

Since December 2004, one percent of every St. Jude Platinum Visa card purchase is donated directly to St. Jude, which is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatments that are not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude also pays for lodging, food and travel for patients and their families.

In addition, Chase automatically donates $50 directly to St. Jude when consumers, who apply for the St. Jude Platinum Visa card at www.stjude.org or at special St. Jude events, use their St. Jude Platinum Visa card for the first time.

“The holidays are quickly approaching and people have a strong desire to give during this time of year,” said Bill Campbell, Chairman, Chase Card Services. “We believe in the work that St. Jude does and we are excited to make this donation to the organization to further their research, while celebrating a milestone year of giving.”

“At St. Jude, no child is ever turned away because of a family’s inability to pay and it’s through charitable giving, like Chase’s $1 million donation, that we make hope a reality for many sick children,” said David L. McKee, Chief Operating Officer of ALSAC, the fund-raising arm of St. Jude. “We’re proud to partner with Chase to offer consumers the St. Jude Platinum Visa card and give them a unique opportunity to support the life-saving mission of St. Jude.”

Consumers may apply for the St. Jude Platinum Visa card by visiting www.chase.com/applystjude or by calling 800-347-7887.
