Effort Supports Delta’s Ongoing Commitment to Serve Passengers With Special Needs

ATLANTA, Nov. 28, 2005 – Delta Air Lines will begin accepting the Inogen One™ portable oxygen concentrator (POC) for customers’ onboard use on December 1, 2005. The customer-owned devices are lightweight and portable and used in lieu of medical oxygen bottles. This new policy will make it easier and more convenient for customers with special needs to travel.

“We fully support the FAA’s decision to accept the Inogen One™, and we are very pleased to assist our customers who have special oxygen requirements,” said Paulette Corbin, Senior Vice President - In-Flight Service. “Delta’s customer service philosophy promotes any initiative designed to make our customers’ travel experience more comfortable, enjoyable and safe. This decision is a huge win for our special needs customers whose travel opportunities may have been previously restricted. We are thrilled to be able to expand their travel horizons.”

Delta requires at least 48 hours advance notice in order to provide required medical pre-approvals for use of the devices onboard our aircraft. There is a nominal fee for this service. Further information can be found at www.delta.com, by clicking on Planning and Reservations.
