Small Business Owners Gain Access to Big Business Discounts

November 28, 2005, CHARLOTTE – Bank of America today announced the introduction of the Small Business Discount Program, designed to help small business owners save money on thousands of products and services through exclusive discounts. The program will also keep them informed of exclusive sales, retailing events, and promotions.

The Small Business Discount Program provides small business owners with access to discounts typically only available to large employers. By enrolling in the program, small business owners will be able to save between 5 and 75% percent on a wide variety of common business products and services.

Small Business Discount Program participating merchants were selected for their ability to deliver valuable discounts on products popular with small business owners. The following merchants are a sample of companies offering discounts through the program: Staples; Starbucks; National Car Rental; Alamo Rent a Car; eFax; and, Franklin Covey.

“ Bank of America’s Small Business Discount Program, a collaboration between Bank of America Small Business Banking and Next Jump, Inc., delivers yet another benefit to our customers,” said Rob Aulebach, Bank of America Small Business Banking executive. “We’re pleased to build even further on our tradition of offering unrivaled services and solutions -- such as our Relationship Checking Offer which waives the monthly maintenance fee on small business checking to business owners who have a personal Bank of America Advantage account with us -- to more small businesses than any other bank.”

“Next Jump is able to use the power of large groups to negotiate discounts and arrange for retail events that are not available to the general public,” said Greg Kunkel, Next Jump senior vice president. “Bank of America’s large pool of high-quality purchasers allows us to offer group rates and discounts that individual consumers cannot access alone.”

Instructions for enrolling and participating in the Small Business Discount Program are located at the program’s Web site at www.bankofamerica.com/businessdiscounts. Bank of America is directing the Small Business Discount Program at new and existing checking account customers in its Small Business Banking division. Bank of America Small Business Banking serves the needs of businesses with less than $2.5 million in annual revenues.
