GLBT Podcast Announces Call for Academic Study

WEBWIRE

Project Build It! brings serious business opportunities to college students.

Today, the Jason Cable Company announces a call for academic teams to study marketing and revenue potential of a popular gay and lesbian podcast. Project Build It! will become a testing ground, giving college students a real life opportunity to build and grow a company’s independent Internet radio broadcast.

The Jason Cable Company owns and operates JasonCable.com’s GLBT Podcast. Podcasting is sweeping the world by storm. It is a new, exciting medium for delivering unique programming content to a global audience. Many challenges face podcast content providers. In this project, students can be part of a team to help produce a successful and profitable show not owned by large business.

Day one out of college, graduates end up in a jobs performing menial tasks. If chosen, students will be able to actually help build a business. Participants will be given the chance to make important decisions that will effect an entire company’s product. Some of the opportunities include: marketing, sales, radio production, co-hosting, web and print design, and sociology study.

There will be up to two teams working on the show at once. Each team member will be compensated for their work based on their own participation and the performance of the team. This will not be easy work. If someone on the team is not helping create a better show they may be let go. Compensation will be based on a percentage of profits brought in by each individual team. This is real world, real life experience... not something you see on television.

Jason Cable will compose the teams based on individual skills and attitude. A short essay on why you want to work on the show will be required in order to be chosen.

More information on this exciting new project can be found at www.jasoncable.com, including an application for those interested in participation.
