Wholesale Chess Sponsors Photo Portfolio Contest

Photos of chess players and chess clubs across the nation are coming in to Wholesale Chess in response to a new contest the ecommerce store has recently announced.

“We are looking for any chess related photo to display on our home page banner,” said Lyndia Graham, manager of Wholesale Chess. “Since we first called for entries a few days ago we have had everything from a four year old boy playing chess to a chess club surrounding a special visitor, Maurice Ashley, who is a chess Grandmaster.”

“With chess becoming more and more popular across the world, we though a contest to show people enjoying the game was appropriate,” Graham said. “We want everything from kids, to classes, to clubs and especially individuals.”

Everyone who submits a photo to service@wholesalechess.com is automatically entered in the contest for a $50 Wholesale Chess Gift card each month. By submitting a photo, contestant agree to let Wholesale Chess use it on their website and other marketing materials and acknowledges that they own the photo and that there are no copyrights associated with it.
One prize will be presented each month. Mrs. Graham said the contest will go on for several months as more and more entrants become aware of it.

“We hope to get hundreds, if not thousands of entries,” she added. “Each club or individual has a chess story to tell through pictures and we want to see as many of them as we can. Once the photos are on the banner they roll through a series, so if contestants do not immediately see their photo entry on the banner, they should refresh the page and it will soon come up.”
