Solutions Tailored for Networks and Systems Integrators

LAS VEGAS.-(Digital Signage Expo, Booth 768) — Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and information technology company, will showcase its expanded portfolio of Harris Digital Signage™ solutions, which provide an interoperable system for managing a complete digital signage content delivery workflow, at the Digital Signage Expo February 27-28, 2008, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Harris will feature its expanded line of InfoCaster™ content creation and playout systems at the exposition.

Harris Digital Signage solutions are designed to scale from supporting small, multi-screen implementations at a single venue to enterprise implementations that encompass large numbers of venues, zones and screens. Harris solutions support the complete digital signage content delivery chain, including creation, production, media asset management, sales, traffic, scheduling, distribution, tracking and reporting. Customers — including both end users and the systems integrators that support them — can take advantage of these capabilities by selecting from a set of discrete products, a managed services offering or a combination of the two, as their needs dictate.

Additionally, Harris Digital Signage customers can take advantage of the same professional-grade graphics creation and presentation technologies used by many Harris broadcast customers to maintain their brand identity. Similarly, captive and out-of-home operators who want to optimize revenues from their signage services can leverage the well-proven technologies of Harris Digital Signage solutions to manage and price their ad inventories in a way that enhances the overall value of the network to both owners and viewers.

“Working with a company that offers such extensive, expert capabilities is a unique advantage when designing and implementing a digital signage solution,” said John Melillo, president of Diversified Media Group, a managed network company in Kenilworth, N.J. “Being able to select from the wide range of products within the Harris Digital Signage solutions offering makes it easy for us to not only meet the system requirements of our customers, but also provides us with a high level of confidence in our ability to scale the solution as needed and support our customers for many years to come.”

At the Digital Signage Expo 2008, Ted Dembicki, vice president of business development for Harris Digital Signage solutions, will present the Venetian Macao case study at the Global Virtual Tour, taking place February 26. The tour features case study presentations about outstanding digital signage and interactive installations from around the world. The Harris presentation will focus on the expansive Harris Digital Signage network installed last year at The Venetian Macao, the world’s largest casino. Dembicki is also a featured speaker for the February 28 session and will make a presentation on “Integrating Digital Signage into Hotel Operational (Scheduling) Systems.”

Harris Broadcast Communications offers capabilities that provide interoperable workflow solutions that span the entire content delivery chain and support multiple customer services, including digital signage. The Harris ONE approach brings together highly integrated and cost-effective products that are ideal for emerging media business models and for customers upgrading media operations to digital and high-definition services.
