Author Michael Chabon To Speak At Yale

New Haven, Conn. — Puliter Prize-winning novelist Michael Chabon will speak on “Imaginary Homelands” in the Levinson Auditorium at Yale Law School, 127 Wall St., on February 27 at 8 p.m.

Free and open to the public, the talk is the David and Goldie Blanksteen 2008 Lecture in Jewish Ethics of Yale Hillel.

Chabon’s first novel, “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh” (1988), catapulted him to the status of literary celebrity. He followed it with a second novel, “Wonder Boys” (1995), and two short-story collections. In 2000, Chabon published “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay,” a critically acclaimed novel that The New York Review of Books called a “magnum opus.” It won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2001. His latest novel, “The Yiddish Policemen’s Union,” was published in 2007 to enthusiastic reviews.

Chabon graduated with a B.A. in 1984 from the University of Pittsburgh, and an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of California, Irvine.
