Sam’s Club Opens North Las Vegas Location

New Club Continues Tradition of Selection and Services

Sam’s Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., and one of the nation’s largest warehouse clubs will open a new facility at 2650 East Craig Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89081.

An exclusive tour for the news media is planned at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 29 during which 13 local charities and community organizations will receive grants totaling $37,000. Business Members are invited to attend a breakfast and club preview Wednesday, January 30. Grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies begin at 9:45 a.m., Thursday, January 31.

“We are excited to serve the needs of the North Las Vegas community with a new Sam’s Club,” said Brad LeClear, club manager. “We believe existing members in the region, as well as shoppers unfamiliar with warehouse clubs, will enjoy our selection of fresh foods, brand name electronics and jewelry and appreciate the value we can provide.”

The new club also features a host of sustainable features. The white TPO roof is energy star rated and includes 191 skylights. The interior lights automatically and continuously dim over the sales floor as the daylight contribution increases. The skylights will help save approximately 200,000 kilowatt hours per year.

The bathrooms have water conserving fixtures. The sinks are sensor-activated, low flow faucets reducing water usage by 84%. The new Sam’ s Club is equipped to recycle tires, auto batteries, cardboard, single-use cameras, plastic waste and silver from photo processing.

Sam’s Club offers a variety of services through its third party providers, including health insurance, merchant credit card processing and travel services as well as other programs. Both Business and Advantage Members can save even more on club services and purchases with a Plus Membership earning up to two percent cash back by using a Sam’s Club Discover card.

Regular Club hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gold Key Hours for business members are 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
