Embarcadero Debuts Linux-Based Change Management Tool

Linux version of Change Manager supports Red Hat Enterprise and SUSE

SAN FRANCISCO – Jan. 29, 2008 – Embarcadero Technologies is introducing a new version of Change Manager that allows developers and database administrators (DBAs) to conduct high-speed data and database configuration comparisons from a Linux workstation. Change Manager for Linux runs on both Red Hat Enterprise 5.0 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10. Embarcadero’s Change Manager for Linux supports Oracle, Sybase, DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server databases.

With Change Manager for Linux, developers no longer need to create custom compare scripts for database change management. Instead, they can easily compare data and databases from Linux-based workstations. Other applications for Change Manager include:
- Ensuring reference data in test environments are synchronized with their respective production environments
- Streamlining and validating data migration and database migration
- Validating that replicated databases are synchronized
