Citation Enriches CyberRegs™ Portal Content with Army Corps of Engineers’ TEAM Guide for Compliance Assessment

WEBWIRE

Citation Technologies Inc., today announced the availability of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ TEAM Guide – an environmental compliance assessment tool – as a major enhancement to its CyberRegs™ portal. The addition of this guide significantly expands the breadth and depth of content available via Citation’s flagship portal, which provides Web-based access to full-text domestic and international regulatory compliance information. Further, accessing the TEAM Guide via CyberRegs™ allows customers to leverage robust workflow productivity features when performing compliance audits. Current users of both the TEAM Guide and CyberRegs™ will benefit from the enhanced convenience, functionality and efficiency of this combined offering.

“Our agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers addresses the demands of environmental, safety, and health (ESH) operations personnel and professional auditors for comprehensive compliance resources delivered on a best-in-class content management platform,” said John Vitale, Vice President, Corporate Business Development, Citation Technologies Inc. “By integrating the proprietary information resources of the TEAM Guide into our CyberRegs™ portal, Citation enables customers to streamline and accelerate compliance assessments.”

The TEAM Guide is being integrated into the CyberRegs™ portal under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement between Citation and the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL). By delivering the TEAM Guide via its portal, Citation enables customers to take advantage of a broad array of research, collaboration and change management platform
features while using TEAM Guide documents. Users can concurrently search protocols and regulations for keywords and phrases; annotate and share pre-audit information and audit findings directly in the appropriate sections of protocol documents; and incorporate or connect company policy and procedure documents with the relevant sections of a TEAM Guide document.

Further, customers benefit from automatic notification about changes in legal requirements referenced in the TEAM Guide throughout the protocol revision cycles. These references are linked to full-text regulatory citations in CyberRegs™.

Carolyn O’Rourke, Project Manager at CERL, said, “Leveraging Citation’s portal increases the TEAM Guide’s value to our customers because they can now use a wide array of content management tools to expedite searches and stay on top of regulatory changes. We believe CyberRegs™ will make the TEAM Guide more broadly available and more user-friendly.”

The Environmental Assessment and Management (TEAM) Guide, developed by CERL, offers federal facility environmental managers a comprehensive, unified approach to environmental compliance assessments. The TEAM Guide eliminates duplication in the creation of compliance protocols for the military services. It addresses compliance in the areas of air quality, cultural resources, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, natural resources, environmental program management, pesticide management, pollution prevention, petroleum, oils and lubricants, storage tanks, toxic substances (PCBs, asbestos, radon, lead-based paint), wastewater and water quality/drinking water. Originally developed to help military installations comply with environmental regulations, the TEAM Guide has been adopted by numerous federal, state and international agencies.

To learn how subscriptions to the federal TEAM Guide as well as any state supplement document can be added to an existing CyberRegs™ account, please contact Citation at cs@citation.com or 800-808-3372. New CyberRegs™ subscribers can choose from a wide range of content, including the TEAM Guide documents, as well as access to standards, test methods and specification documents.
