New Matrix Switchers from Gefen Enable System Integration Among Multiple HDMI Sources and Displays with Plug and Play Ease

Las Vegas, NV -- The easy interconnectivity of multiple sources and displays provided by Gefen’s new matrix switchers makes them especially effective for the professional installer. None require networking and all enable always-on access to several HDTV sources from one or more displays, controlled by IR remote with the ability to be integrated with RS-232 controlled smart devices.

8x8 DVI Matrix
This rack mountable matrix connects up to eight sources to eight displays or projectors, offering complete matrix switching among all connected devices. Displays have access to any source at any time using a 16-key IR remote control or the RS-232 connection. High definition resolutions are supported up to 1080p or 1920x1200.

4x4 HDMI CAT-5 Matrix
This matrix switcher interconnects four sources with four displays, and can extend each display up to 330-feet from the matrix using CAT-5 cable and individual receiver units at the remote destination, enabling an easy method of distributing HDTV throughout the home. Receivers transmit IR commands back to the matrix for remote operation. The unit supports HDCP-compliant resolutions to 1080p and multi-channel digital audio.

4x4 Component Audio Matrix
Aside from interconnecting four component video sources and four component video displays, this matrix supports RCA left/right audio inputs and outputs to create an integrated audio/video system that supports high definition resolutions up to 1080p. Users select which source will appear on which display using an IR remote, front-panel buttons, or the RS-232 connection for smart control.
