WEBWIRE

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. 10-NOV-2005 Oracle announced today that it won three DM Review 2005 Readership Awards for best in “Data Quality,” “Databases and Data Stores,” and “Collaboration, Portals, Unstructured Data, Content & Knowledge Management.” Oracle was selected over numerous competitors in the database, portal, content management and collaboration markets.

The annual Readership Awards program is a well-known tradition for DM Review, the premier publication for data warehousing, business intelligence and analytics. This year, The Gantry Group, LLC, an independent strategic advisory and research firm, asked readers to rate software solutions, based on product quality and customer satisfaction. Affirming the strength of Oracle’s data management products, as well as advancements in collaboration, content management and portal products, readers voted Oracle a winner in several categories. The results of the awards, as well as the new Readership Merit Awards will be published in the December issue. Additional DM Review award information may be found at: http://www.dmreview.com/awards/.

“Our readers, corporate executives and IT managers, recognize the value of real-time access to accurate, relevant information,” said Mary Jo Nott, Editor-in-Chief at DM Review. “Oracle’s top placements in the 2005 DM Review Readership Awards are a reflection of the business benefits that can be achieved using Oracle(r) Database 10g, Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g and Oracle Fusion Middleware.”

“It is an honor to be chosen by the users--readers of DM Review--for the quality and customer satisfaction Oracle data management and middleware products provide,” said Robert Shimp, vice president of technology marketing at Oracle. “As customer needs evolve and the information landscape changes, we will continue to develop and deliver innovative and substantial products to meet those needs.”

In the last two years, Oracle has received seven DM Review Readership Awards.
