New HT8EX Expandable Drum Adds Improved Ease-Of-Use To Equipment Rental Industry’s Most Popular Drum Floor Sander

CLIFTON PARK, NY – December 10, 2007 - Hiretech announced today the design and production of the HT8EX 8” Expandable Drum Floor Sander. Designed specifically for the equipment rental market, the HT8EX is built on Hiretech’s popular HT8/DU8 drum sander platform.

According to Hiretech, the HT8EX improves customer usability by placing industry-standard 8-inch “belt” abrasives on the sanding drum, avoiding the need for clamp bars, screws or tools of any type. In addition to ease-of-use for the DIY customer, rental operators and store employees will save time and eliminate issues with maintenance and customer error in applying notched, angled or hook-and-loop abrasives to a sanding drum.

Making its industry debut at the American Rental Association’s The Rental Show in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 12th to 14th 2008, the HT8EX will begin shipping in early March, 2008 to rental operators throughout North America.
