AT&T Services Provide Enhanced Communications Capabilities for Rack Room Shoes

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced a contract with Rack Room Shoes to provide Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services to the company’s Charlotte headquarters. Today, hundreds of Rack Room Shoes stores use AT&T voice services. This new contract will establish a VoIP solution with unified communications capabilities for Rack Room Shoes, a leading retailer of footwear, handbags and accessories.

Management needed a way to be accessible anywhere, anytime. The new AT&T VoIP solution will allow managers to communicate at the office, at home or on the road with just one phone number, one e-mail account and one device. By making communication between employees and managers more seamless and mobile, the VoIP solution will enable better collaboration among Rack Room Shoes departments, business units and customers throughout the work week.

Unified communications will further allow Rack Room Shoes to operate more efficiently and productively. The company will be able to control maintenance and service costs because of efficiencies realized in overall maintenance expenses for the VoIP phone system and because additions or changes to the system require less time to complete.
