Corning CFO to Address Investors at Credit Suisse Annual Technology Conference

CORNING, N.Y.– Corning Incorporated (NYSE:GLW) Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer James B. Flaws will address investors at the Credit Suisse Annual Technology Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., today. He will review the company’s fourth-quarter guidance, provide updates on key topics relevant to Corning’s growth businesses, and address questions posed by investors.

Flaws will review indicators that continue to support the company’s optimistic outlook for the liquid crystal display (LCD) industry and Corning’s Display Technologies business. Flaws will say, “We expect to utilize our effectively combined measures of robust cost reductions, strategic pricing and innovative technology development for continued success in 2008.” He will also note emerging technology opportunities within the display industry that Corning is addressing, including organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Events relevant to Corning’s telecommunications business, particularly the multiple dwelling unit (MDU) market, will also be reviewed.

In providing an update on Corning’s diesel products business, Flaws will say, “With sales growth of 55% and significant improvement in gross margins, our diesel business has had an excellent year, in spite of the challenges faced in the heavy-duty market. We expect 2008 to be another year of progress, with strong results expected in sales growth, gross margin performance and profitability in heavy-duty.”

Flaws will also address the important contributions that continue to be made by Dow Corning Corporation to Corning’s long-term growth and stability.
