Chase Customers Can Get a Little Green on Black Friday

For two days only -- this Friday and Saturday -- consumers who open a new Chase checking account will get $100.

That $100 could come in handy because consumers plan to spend an average of $816.69 on holiday-related shopping this year, according to the National Retail Federation.

“We’re kicking off the holiday shopping season with a great offer for consumers,” said Ryan McInerney, head of marketing of Chase’s Consumer Bank. “An extra $100 could be like having Chase pay for 12% of your holiday purchases.”

The offer, which will add $100 to the new account’s balance, is good on personal checking accounts opened in branches, online and over the telephone. Consumers qualify with any of four Chase accounts -- Free Checking with Direct Deposit, Better Checking, Premier Checking and Premier Platinum checking - all of which provide access to more than 9,000 Chase ATMs nationwide.
