”Real-life” social-network supports Oxfam-fundraising teams

Nanomatic Limited is proud to participate in this year’s Trailwalker fund raising event organized by Oxfam. Our products, myrimis and nanonavi will allow participating teams to provide real time location information (tracking) and geo-tagged photos on line.
“Over the past years, people have been wishing for some systems that would allow the participants’ families and friends to get the real-time status and progress of the team during the race”, claimed by William, a member of the Hongkonauts.
Our tracking function is very useful to the participant’s support team, families and friends. Real time information allows support team to deliver the supplies on time. On the other hand, families and friends can closely monitor the team’s progress and performance on line and send encouraging messages to cheer their beloved ones up.
Furthermore, the participants can take photos with location tag and upload them instantly to the myrimis site and share them with others.
The event will be held on November 9 and 10, 2007 at the beautiful Sai Kung Country Park of Hong Kong. There are over 1000 participating teams and each will have to complete a 100 km trail, scaling up over 20 hills, within 48 hours. Nanonavi and myrimis not only brings real-time information of the team for their supporters, but also warmth and cheers for the walking team in the cold and windy mountains.
