EPA reaches agreement with Magellan Pipeline on clean-air violations
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 has reached an agreement with Magellan Pipeline Co. LP on alleged clean-air violations at the company’s petroleum liquid storage vessels at 2451 W. County Road C, Roseville, Minn.
The agreement, which includes a $5,000 penalty, resolves EPA allegations that Magellan failed to provide sufficient information in its state operating permit application to determine if new source performance standards apply to five of its petroleum storage vessels.
In a related action, Magellan agreed to comply with an EPA order to submit an application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to amend its state operating permit to comply with new source performance standards for storage vessels.
