New Polish Tax and Grants Consultancy set to launch in January

Accreo will launch in January a new tax and grants consultancy in Warsaw to serve the growing demand in Poland for top quality advice which is totally independent of an audit firm. Accreo is a member of the Taxand Global Alliance which is the first and only network of independent tax firms offering seamless international tax services to meet clients’ needs quickly and efficiently while providing the best possible expertise in each market.

Accreo’s initial team of 20 Polish consultants all have significant experience with leading international firms. The founding partners were all with Arthur Andersen which was formerly the clear market leader for tax services in Poland. They have decided to leave their current Big Four firm and form Accreo because they believe that the perfectly appropriate tightening of the regulation of auditors in both the US and the EU in the wake of the Enron scandal means that the traditional business model of the major international audit firms providing significant tax and other non-audit services can no longer properly serve the interests of clients, practitioners, or indeed the public at large.

Accreo/Taxand has ambitious plans to expand both within Poland and to other markets in Central and Eastern Europe.

Further details of the Accreo/Taxand practice will be announced in conjunction with its formal launch in January 2006.
