Symantec Vice President of Technology to Participate on Panel Discussion at TELECOM ’05

(Nasdaq: SYMC), today announced that Rob Clyde, vice president of technology for Symantec’s office of the CTO, will participate in a panel discussion on incident management at TELECOM ‘05. The panel, entitled “Incident Management in the 21st Century Communications Marketplace,” is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 27, from 9:45 – 11:45 a.m. PDT at the Venetian Hotel and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The panel discussion will examine the programs and approaches taken by industry and government entities at the federal and state levels to ensure the protection of the nation’s telecommunications infrastructure from current cyber threats and incidents.
