Art Exhibition at Yale Postponed Due to Construction

New Haven, Conn. — “The City,” an exhibition of paintings by Constance LaPalombara at the Whitney Humanities Center at Yale, has been postponed because of construction delays on Wall Street.

The opening is now tentatively rescheduled for December 6 at 5:00 p.m. at at 53 Wall Street. Further details will be announced as they become available.

LaPalombara, a landscape and still-life painter, is well known for her city scenes of New Haven, where she lives. Her artwork has been the subject of 25 one-person shows as well as of numerous group shows, and was chosen for publication in the book “Artists Next Door: A Great City’s Creative Spirit.”

She has received several grants and awards, including an Artists Fellowship from the Connecticut Commission on the Arts and an Ingram Merrill Award in Painting. She is also a member of Connecticut Women Artists, the Connecticut Watercolor Society and the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts.
