Julie Fasone Holder, business vice president for Specialty Plastics and Elastomers, has been named corporate vice president, responsible for Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, and Public Affairs. She will join the Office of the Chief Executive and report to Andrew Liveris, president and chief executive officer.

Fasone Holder assumes these responsibilities from Luciano Respini, who will continue to be responsible for Geographies and the Marketing and Sales function, as well as serving as President of Dow Europe. He will remain a member of the OCE, reporting to Liveris.

Fasone Holder will continue to retain oversight for the Specialty Plastics and Elastomers business until early next year, while working together with Respini to assure a smooth transition to her new responsibilities.

“Julie’s strong business acumen and customer knowledge will bring an outside-in focus so important in building Dow’s reputation with key stakeholders around the world,” Liveris commented. “In addition, her outstanding people skills and demonstrated leadership will help to drive a people-centric performance culture throughout our company. She is an accomplished Dow leader with huge breadth and will contribute greatly to our vision of becoming the largest, most profitable and most respected chemical company in the world.”

Fasone Holder joined Dow in San Francisco, California as a sales representative in 1975. In her 30-year career with Dow, she has had a variety of commercial leadership positions with local, national and global responsibilities. She was named to her most recent role in January 2004. Fasone Holder was a founder of the Women’s Innovation Network, and in 1999 received the Genesis Award for people excellence. She serves as Vice President on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for Midland Tomorrow, Midland’s Economic Development Council, and was recently elected to the board of directors of Wolverine Bank of Midland, Michigan.

Dow is a leader in science and technology, providing innovative chemical, plastic and agricultural products and services to many essential consumer markets.
